The 17L Pressure Reducing Reservoir, also known as railway pressure reduce tank and pressure reducing air cylinder, is a core pressure regulating component specially designed for traditional GK triple valve brake systems of railway freight wagons, including old-type covered wagons and open-top wagons. Cooperating with the empty-load cut-out cock and empty-load adjusting device, this air pressure reducing cylinder precisely controls the maximum working pressure of the brake cylinder, solving the common problem of excessive braking force during empty wagon operation.
In loaded working condition, the pipeline of the 17L pressure reducing tank is cut off, enabling all compressed air from the auxiliary reservoir to act on the brake cylinder and provide stable and powerful braking force for heavy-load railway vehicles. In empty working condition, the reservoir pipeline is connected to the brake cylinder, diverting partial compressed air to reduce the brake cylinder pressure effectively. This scientific pressure regulation avoids wheel locking, wheel set scuffing and vehicle braking failure caused by ultra-high empty-load braking force, ensuring the safety and stability of railway operation.
As a professional railway brake spare part, this 17L pressure reducing air cylinder is manufactured strictly in accordance with railway TB pressure vessel standards, adopting high-quality pressure vessel steel plate and integral welding process. Featuring reliable pressure resistance, excellent air tightness, corrosion resistance and long service life, it is widely used for maintenance and replacement of old GK brake system rolling stock. It is worth noting that newly built railway wagons equipped with 120 valves do not adopt this component, making it a dedicated replacement part for railway vehicle depot maintenance projects.
This railway pressure reduce tank adopts an all-steel welded pressure vessel structure, equipped with integrated lifting brackets, standard pipe connectors and bottom threaded drain plug. The reserved drain plug supports regular discharge of internal condensed water, effectively preventing internal corrosion and pressure attenuation, and maintaining long-term stable working performance. The standard G1/2 side interfaces are perfectly compatible with railway empty-load adjusting pipelines and brake cylinder pipelines, realizing quick and stable installation and connection with high overall structural rigidity and air tightness.
