The 11L air reservoir, also known as 11L air receiver tank or 11L air tank, is a professional pressure vessel specially designed for railway freight car air brake systems, perfectly matched with the 120 distribution valve brake loop. Manufactured in strict accordance with the TB/T 1900-2016 Railway Vehicle Air Cylinder standard, this air tank serves as the core pressure control component of railway vehicle braking systems, widely applied in various railway freight wagons including open wagons, covered wagons and hopper wagons.
Adopting a horizontal cylindrical welded structure with elliptical heads at both ends, the 11L air receiver tank is equipped with integrated mounting supports, standard pipeline interfaces and drain plugs for convenient installation, pipeline connection and daily maintenance. It is mainly made of high-quality stainless steel, with optional carbon steel and aluminum alloy materials, featuring pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance and long service life. Strict daily maintenance including air tightness test, weld flaw detection, internal rust removal and anti-corrosion treatment and regular drainage ensures stable long-term operation.
We have over 20 years of professional manufacturing experience in railway air reservoir production. As a qualified manufacturer, we have obtained CRCC (China Railway Certification Center) certification for national railway supply and EN15085 European welding system certification, meeting both Chinese railway standards and European industrial welding requirements. We own independent R&D and production capabilities, supporting customized production according to customers' special technical parameters, size requirements and application scenarios to deliver tailored railway air tank solutions.
This 11L air tank acts as the key pressure control benchmark of the railway brake system, driving the operation of the distribution valve through the pressure difference between the tank and the train pipe, which is functionally different from the auxiliary air cylinder that directly supplies air to the brake cylinder. The working cycle is divided into four stages:
| Item | Technical Specification |
| Nominal Volume | 11 Liters |
| Rated Working Pressure | 600 kPa (6 bar) |
| Hydrostatic Test Pressure | 900 kPa, pressure holding for 5 minutes |
| Operating Temperature Range | -50°C ~ +70°C |
| Available Material | Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Aluminum Alloy |
| Applicable Vehicles | Railway Freight Wagons (Open Wagon, Covered Wagon, Hopper Wagon, etc.) |
| Structure Type | Horizontal Cylindrical Pressure Vessel with Elliptical Heads |
| Executive Standard | TB/T 1900-2016 Railway Vehicle Air Cylinder |
All our 11L air reservoir / air receiver tank undergoes strict factory inspection and type inspection to meet international railway equipment safety standards. The inspection items cover surface quality, dimensional tolerance, weld defect detection, ultrasonic weld flaw detection, hydrostatic pressure test, air tightness test, volume detection, shock vibration test and paint adhesion test. All products are prohibited from overpressure operation to ensure high safety and stability in long-term railway operation scenarios.
