Railway Freight Cars Ballast Hopper Wagons Covered 60 Tons Load

 

K13NK Ballast hopper wagon is upgraded on the basis of K13NA ballast hopper wagon by adopting K2 bogies, automatic empty / load adjustment device, new combined brake beam, new high friction composite brake shoes and etc.

This hopper wagon is a special railcar to transport ballast for laying new railway or repairing old railway, or to transport similar aggregate cargo for industrial or mineral factories. It could be loaded from both sides of the railway and discharged to both sides of the railroad.

 

K13NK ballast hopper wagon is mainly composed of under frame, side wall, end wall, hopper, operation cab, unload ballast system, dust remove system, bogies, brake system, and coupler buffer. The underframe is made by complete welded steel without middle beam.

 

When discharging the transported cargo (ballast or ore stones) , the bottome doors could be operated pheumatically or by manual. The hopper wagon is equipped with indepent operation cab to open and close the bottom doors of the hoppers.  The doors operation mechanism is composed of upper transmission device and lower transmission device. The manual transmission mechanism and pneumatic control management system are set on the under frame at the one end of the car body. The pneumatic transmission and manual braking mechanisms are independent of each other, and its conversion is controlled by the shift fork and the jaw clutch. The bottom door opening and closing mechanism has a self-locking function, which can ensure that the bottom door will not open automatically during vehicle operation. At the same time, in order to avoid the accidental opening of the bottom door opening and closing mechanism caused by the operator's miss-operation during vehicle operation, an eccentric locking anti miss rotation device is also equipped.
